TYSON FURY is ready for a move into WWE but will never take his boxing skills into the MMA octagon.
Anthony Joshua wants to fight Fury – and has stoked the fires by calling the depression sufferer a “nut job” – and boxing fans are desperate to see if his amazing 2015 win over Wladimir Klitschko was a fluke.
But, when asked on the Dave Allen podcast about switching from boxing to the body-building world of wrestling with the WWE or the brutal codes of MMA, Fury said: “I have not been asked but I would consider it.
“But aren’t I too fat to be on the WWE?
WWE if you’re listening to The White Rhino Podcast, call me.”
“No disrespect to any other sport, but I believe fighting is an honourable game, when two men get in the ring and box it isn’t just for money or to say I’m better than you, we fight for honour and we fight for respect, and it’s a gentleman’s game.
“So when you’re MMA – you’re on the floor getting elbows in the face and you’re ripping each others noses off and all that, I don’t think that’s an honourable thing – I don’t think it’s a gentleman’s sport.
“I think it’s barbaric and I think all men should stand up and fight – no grabbing – fair fighting like Queensbury Rules.”
Despite declaring his love for the sweet science and the strict code of conduct, Fury admits to having 16 unlicensed bare-knuckle fights.
One even came up against a wild Mexican – in snakeskin pants – who was apparently backed by South American crime syndicates.
Fury revealed: “I’ve only had 16 professional bare knuckle fights.
“Most of them I finished as soon as I landed the first jab.”
“I fought this guy, he was a Mexican bare-knuckle champion, they flew him over and they came over with these Mexican like cartel people, he had like snakeskin pants on and all that.
“We showed him to the barn and he stripped off and he had all these tattoo’s all over him like covered head to toe.
“He came in doing his thing and I just cracked him one, bang, knocked him over a milk churn and he ended up in a load of water – that’s that fight over.
“But I’ve done a few like that, there’s not much money involved in it though and you can get seriously hurt.”
