It’s never ideal following a chaser after a fall but SIZING TENNESSEE was in the process of running a big race behind Black Corton at Cheltenham before tumbling two out.
He was a length up and going well. That was his first fall so hopefully it was a blip and he can make amends here.
KILDISART managed to finish second on his hurdling debut at Carlisle last time despite losing a shoe which can’t have helped.
He jumped well in the main and this trip looks ideal. He should improve and get the better of Turtle Wars who also looks a decent prospect.
LALOR and Kayf Grace both look set for excellent seasons with the latter having won the Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Ainteee back in 2016.
She looked decent when winning on her hurdling debut at Bangor but has not been seen since December last year.
Lalor also won a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in even more impressive fashion. He had to settle for second on his hurdling debut at Exeter last time but he wasn’t asked too many questions and looked to have plenty left in the tank.
This is an open race and we’ll give THOMAS BROWN the nod thanks to his proven form around Ascot, which doesn’t suit all horses.
He came back from a long break with a solid sixth here last time that should leave him spot-on for fitness. This trip suits and he’s come down the weights too.
He won a big race at Aintree this time last year and trainer Harry Fry is in good form.

ANTONY was well backed for a repeat win in the Sodexo Gold Cup here last time and did well to finish fourth despite his saddle slipping slightly.
The handicapper has dropped him 2lb for that effort and it’s interesting to see cheekpieces on for the first time. This trip is ideal as he takes a fair drop in class.
SPEREDEK is going for five wins on the bounce and has chances under a 7lb penalty after winning as he liked at Exeter last time out.
His front-running style means he stays out of trouble and he looks to be still improving given he’s only six.
