ARSENAL are in pole-position to land Udinese kid Jakub Jankto. The 21-year-old midfielder has been monitored by the Premier League side for over a year and they are set to beat Juventus and AC Milan to his signature, claim Calcio Mercato. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger tried to wrap up a deal for Jankto in the summer, but the move fell through and the now the Frenchman has reignited his interest.
- Jankto has bagged two goals in 13 appearances for Udinese and has a reported £6million release clause in his contract.
- Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan were in the mix to try and keep the highly-rated midfielder in Serie A.
But the deal for the Czech Republic international could mark the end for Jack Wilshere who becomes a free agent in the summer.
